Affiliate Disclosure
If we ever earn a commission from a link, this is where we admit it.

The plain statement
Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the seller may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra: the price is the price, and the seller pays us out of it for having sent you.
As of 24 August 2026 there are no affiliate links anywhere on this site, and we belong to no affiliate programme. When that changes, this page and the date at the top of it change the same day.
Where they appear
Affiliate links live where we recommend a real product: in Reviews, in pieces labelled “Against Our Better Judgment”, and at the end of an “Unfortunately, We Looked Into It” when the answer turns out to be something you can buy. Every one is declared at the link, in the sentence, in our own words — usually some version of “we get a kickback if you do” — and never in a footnote, a symbol or a paragraph at the bottom that nobody reads. If a link is not declared in the sentence, it is not an affiliate link.
What they do not do
A link never changes a verdict, and a piece is never written to carry one. A review of a real product rests on real use of it or on documented facts about it, and the score, the recommendation and the jokes are settled before anyone thinks about the link. If the verdict is that you should not buy the thing, there is no link, and you should not buy the thing.
Programme statements
Some affiliate programmes require a particular sentence to appear on this page. This is where those sentences go. It is empty, because we have joined none.
